LED Video Wall Size Specifications and Considerations
LED video walls come in various sizes and configurations to meet diverse application needs. The size of an LED video wall is determined primarily by the number of individual LED panels used and their physical dimensions. Each LED panel, often referred to as a “module” or “tile,” has a fixed size—commonly ranging from 500mm x 500mm to 600mm x 337.5mm or other custom dimensions depending on the manufacturer.

The total display size is calculated by arranging these panels in a grid pattern, for example, 4 panels wide by 3 panels high. This modular design allows for flexible customization of the overall screen dimensions, enabling the creation of displays ranging from small digital signage to massive walls spanning dozens of square meters.
Standard LED panels have slim profiles, with thicknesses generally between 60mm and 120mm, allowing for easy wall mounting or integration into various architectural designs. The lightweight aluminum alloy frames enhance durability while minimizing installation weight.

For commercial and public spaces, common LED video wall sizes include:
l Small installations: Around 2 to 4 square meters, ideal for retail counters or reception areas.
l Medium installations: 6 to 15 square meters, suitable for shopping mall atriums, conference rooms, or corporate lobbies.
l Large installations: 20 square meters and above, often found in stadiums, airports, and outdoor advertising billboards.
Another important factor is the aspect ratio, which should be designed to match the content format, typically 16:9 for video playback. The bezel width between panels—especially ultra-narrow bezels under 1.5mm—ensures a near-seamless visual effect, enhancing viewing experience.

In addition to physical size, resolution plays a crucial role: the pixel pitch of the LED panels (distance between LED diodes) directly affects the total resolution and viewing distance. Smaller pixel pitches allow for closer viewing distances with sharper images, which influences how large the overall screen needs to be for a given application.
Installation flexibility is further enhanced by the ability to combine panels horizontally and vertically, enabling tailor-made video walls that fit specific wall spaces or customer requirements. This modularity makes LED video walls an ideal solution across diverse industries requiring scalable, high-impact digital displays.
