2018 TOPDRY air dryer cacl2 desiccant replace cobalt chloride indicator silica gel desiccant. TOPDRY desiccant is with the most powerful drying agent material calcium chloride, can absorb more than 300% moisture vapor of its own weight for more than 90 days. TOPDRY Desiccant with a larger proportion and more adsorbent materials, it extracts water vapor quickly from the air, thus preventing the humidity inside the container reaching dew point and condensing.
TOPDRY desiccant is mixed with food grade binding agent, as once water vapor has been absorbed by TOPDRY desiccant, it will turn to a solid gel material and the locked inside the double package material.
We don’t recommend use indicator silica gel desiccant for cargo moisture protection, because the indicator silica gel desiccant mixed with toxic cobalt chloride, so can change color after absorbing moisture.
