Model 17 AMC thermal protector makes bimetallic butterfly piece as thermal sensitive reaction element when its temperature is set. The produced heat when the temperature is increased will transfer to the bimetallic piece. If it reaches the predicated temperature, it can act quickly and makes the contact point off and turn the circuit. When the temperature is dropped to predicated reset value, the bimetallic piece will be restores quickly and make the contact point close and the circuit turns on.
