Description

Testosterone propionate is a white crystal or white crystalline powder at room temperature, odorless. It is insoluble in water, soluble in alcohol or ether, slightly soluble in vegetable oils, easily soluble in chloroform. Its pharmacological effects are similar to Methyltestosterone , but it is slightly stronger than the latter . It is susceptibly damaged by the liver through oral administration, therefore ,oral administration is invalid forTestosterone propionate .

Its oil solution is often intramuscular injected, absorption is slow, the effects of it is strong and durable,which can be maintained for a few days . Testosterone propionate can promote the development of male organs and secondary sexual characteristics, and promote protein synthesis and bone formation, be opposed to estrogen ,suppress endometrial growth and the function of ovarian and pituitary .
