The surface of Iron wire nails is treated with two methods,polished and galvanized,to increase the common nails more smooth and bright.The polished treatment,no surface coating,recommended for weather exposure,acidic or treated lumber.The galvanized method is the process of applying a protective zinc coating to steel or iron to prevent nails from rusting.The most common method is hot-dip galvanizing,in which parts are submerged in a bath of molten zinc.The common nails can be better enhance corrosion resistance and convenient to storage and use through the surface treatment.

They usually have the following characteristics

1. The common nails are made of iron wire which is forged from the high quality material of low carbon steel Q135,Q195.

2. A thick shank diameters than other nails,the longest diameter can be achieved 8.0mm.

3. Round,smooth,thick shank can provide greater resistance to bending.

4. Sharp diamond,needle point,a wide flat head.

5. The diamond point offer a good penetration force when the common nails are driven into the wood structure material.

6. The flat head typically 3-4 times the diameter of the shank for solid holding power.
